A look back at PRG’s 2012

Christmas is almost here, the team is frantically trying to wrap up everything before we close for the festive break on Friday 21st. We're still clearing up from the Christmas party, a messy affair as always. We had a surprise winner in the bake off and we found out that it is possible to put ten woolly jumpers on in under a minute! A good time was had by all and I dare say there were a few headaches on Saturday morning.

Christmas is almost here, the team is frantically trying to wrap up everything before we close for the festive break on Friday 21st. We’re still clearing up from the Christmas party, a messy affair as always. We had a surprise winner in the bake off and we found out that it is possible to put ten woolly jumpers on in under a minute! A good time was had by all and I dare say there were a few headaches on Saturday morning.

I thought I would just take this opportunity to reflect on the year that was 2012 at PRG. For us, just like everyone else, we battled the continued tough economic conditions, although we’ve found a bit more optimism amongst our existing and new clients. The challenge has remained to keep focused on being creative and delivering results, but also keeping costs down for both our clients and ourselves.

PRG’s website marketing and networking (social and face-to-face) have proven fruitful, bringing us new opportunities in sectors we’ve not previously worked in. We really have been practising what we preach to our clients, getting our messages clear, then pushing them out via all available channels and reaching the right people.

As our summer newsletter states, we’ve completed some really exciting projects during the year, including the creative design work for the Eastbourne Airbourne air show, the AP Racing website and recently the launch of the SFG20 product for our client B&ES Publications.

We’ve achieved some exciting results for our existing clients throughout the year, both locally, nationally and even internationally with our work for Hire Intelligence Australia and New Zealand.

Our magazines, LP Gas and CQ, have both continued to develop and grow, with CQ now being available in Hastings, Bexhill and Lewes, extending its reach and bringing it to a fresh audience. We also supported the St Wilfrid’s Hospice Big Art Secret event at Towner, helping to promote it in the national press. I could go on and on, but this is meant to be a blog not a novel! Have a look at our news page and our Facebook page if you want to see more of the exciting things that we’ve done this year.

I continue to be incredibly proud of the PRG team and the successes they have achieved, for the company and for our clients. We recently welcomed a former member of staff back into the fold after a three year absence trying her hand at other things, including motherhood. The competitive spirit is strong here, the bake off this year was the best yet and the company bowling tournament proved to be huge fun. Everyone at PRG has embraced the challenges of the tough business climate and the need to grow and develop the business, meaning that, I feel, we have the strongest team we have ever had.

Looking ahead to 2013, whilst it will be another tough one out there, we have an exciting year coming up at PRG. At the start of February we are moving offices, returning to Eastbourne town centre again and back into the main business hub of the town. I couldn’t be more excited about this and the opportunities that it presents us, but more to come on this early in January!

We will continue doing what we do best for our clients, but will be expanding upon our digital and social media offerings to meet the demand that is out there. Also, we aim to increase our presence in Hastings in the New Year, building on the good work that we’ve already done and the clients that we have in the area.

Finally, I would just like to take this opportunity to thank my team for working so hard this year and to wish them as well as all our clients, suppliers and friends of PRG a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2013.

We will be back in the office on January 2nd and I look forward to catching up with everyone early in the New Year!
