Another great year for the Aegon International Eastbourne

A short round up of the Aegon International Eastbourne 2016.

It was a great week at the Aegon International Eastbourne from 20-25 June 2016, with general ticket and hospitality sales at an all-time high, increasing by over 50% on last year.

The standard of play was outstanding, but Dominika Cibulkova impressively won her maiden grass court title with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Karolina Pliskova. After knocking out Agnieszka Radwanska and Monica Puig on Friday, the 27 year old returned on Saturday to triumph against the inform Karolina Pliskova.

Cibulkova said: “This one is a really special one. You know, this is a special title. It’s the second title of the year. I was never able to win two titles in one year. So it feels just great. It’s my first one on the grass.”

We are now taking early bird hospitality bookings for the 2017 tournament running from 26 June–1 July, with the men returning and making it a combined WTA Premier and ATP World Tour 250 event. With the redevelopment of Devonshire Park, it’s set to be a busy year.

Want to get more involved? We are now offering Patron Packages for official sponsors of the 2017 event.
