A self-funding registered charity, EMLC provides leadership
development and training to the education industry. Being young,
the company needed to build brand recognition and extend its geographical
reach.
From a clean sheet, PRG drew-up an integrated marketing communications
campaign. PRG started by creating new, vivid corporate colours
and a logo suggestive of personal development.
To take EMLC’s name regularly to the target audience, PRG
produces a twice-yearly newsletter and is direct-mailing a series
of postcards which identify ‘Great British Leaders’ and
invite recipients to visit the EMLC website to vote for their favourites.
This is associating EMLC more broadly with leadership.
To position the company as a champion of high standards, PRG suggested
the EMLC Education Leadership Awards. To launch the Awards scheme
and announce EMLC’s geographic roll-out, PRG organised an
evening dinner in the banquet room at Madame Tussauds, London,
where guests were surrounded by waxworks of famous world leaders
and heard an inspirational talk about leadership from Sir Clive
Woodward OBE.
