Website design and build for local sportswear store

Challenge

The Macron Store Hastings is a local sportswear store founded in 1971. The company had no current website but did have specific brand guidelines in place, so PRG was commissioned to build a new e-commerce website for its vast range of products.

Solution

We set to work to come up with a fresh, modern and fully responsive design that would not only work on mobile and tablet devices but would be eye-catching yet useful to customers as well. Due to the number of local clubs the Macron Store supplies sportswear for, it was essential that the site was as easy to navigate as possible.

We included an automatic email generation system throughout the checkout, payment and delivery to make the whole process easy for both the Macron Store and the purchaser. Plus the built in packaging and invoice feature, allows the Macron Store Hastings to provide a friendly and efficient service

The whole website is built using a flexible Content Management System, allowing the client to update all aspects of the site as and when they need to, including the ability to personalise various products and create coupons or special offers themselves.

We added a feature to help ensure the main navigation bar doesn’t become too large when new categories are added, it does this by recalculating the sizing and spacing required to keep the site looking aesthetically pleasing.

To keep customers informed of Macron Store Hastings’ new stock and local events we also included a blog.

Result

Feedback from the client was very positive; less than 24 hours after launching the site, Macron Store Hastings received its first orders.
