Climate Energy is much younger and smaller than better-known competitor eaga, but growing fast. Founded in 2005 with five staff, Climate Energy has doubled turnover every year and now employs 85. In 2009 the company was acquired by Climate Change Capital, a major investment manager and advisor specialising in the global transition to the low carbon economy.
