campaign for Visiting Mr. Green
The multi-award winning play Visiting Mr. Green embarked
on a 10-week UK Tour in September 2007, starring acclaimed
actor Warren Mitchell, best known as Alf Garnett in BBC TV
sitcom Till Death Us Do Part. PRG was commissioned to take
charge of all entertainment marketing and pr requirements
for the tour, dealing with everything from design concept
and print production through to direct mail, advertising
and press liaison.
Entertainment marketing
The entertainment marketing activity included specially designed direct mail letters and postcards, e-flyers, national and regional advertising campaigns, regional radio advertising, and Acorn based News Share distribution.
Press campaign
The press campaign resulted in national features in The Spectator, The Express Magazine, The Jewish Chronicle, The Stage, and The Lady, amongst others, as well as interviews with Warren Mitchell on Radio 4's flagship arts programme Front Row and Michael Parkinson's Radio 2 show.
This effective press campaign resulted in consistently hitting
the producer's targets and playing to packed houses throughout
the tour.
