Marketing to fight fuel poverty and C02 emissions
PRG has been appointed to help seven Local Authorities in Surrey and Hampshire publicise grants and assistance for energy-saving home improvements.
The marketing campaign will encourage owners or tenants of privately-owned homes to install cavity wall and loft insulation and, in a small number of cases, biomass boilers. The scheme is designed to help people out of fuel poverty and to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
PRG was appointed to manage all strategic and creative elements of the marketing campaign by the project's managing agents, Climate Energy Ltd.
Climate Energy previously appointed PRG to handle the marketing of a similar scheme for the East Sussex Energy Partnership - which, just four months after market-launch, has 2,700 job-referrals on its books and has completed 1,050 installations, delivering £370,000 worth of assistance to households. As a result of this solid programme of works, ESEP is to be awarded an increased budget allocation in the 2009/2010 financial year from the Government Office for the South East.
