Education is one of the key UK exports and worth over £17billion! The UK’s education sector has great brands, a proud history of teaching and learning and is well respected worldwide.

Education is also now emerging as a great global growth industry; and improving learning outcomes is now fundamental to any country’s economic growth plan. Educational links can facilitate global expansion and global relationships – as demonstrated by one of our clients British Fortune Group, whose aim is to bring together Chinese and British expertise to create trans-national education, career and business opportunities.

PRG has provided marketing and PR strategies for several training companies helping them raise their profile and now delivers marketing consultancy and support within the international educational sphere.

To give you a taster of our varied marketing projects in the education sector, I’ll share a couple of our recent examples.

New branding for education venture

British Fortune Group wanted to create a strong, trans-national brand which could establish itself with prominence and speed within the international education sector, and appeal to audiences both in the UK and China.

PRG was approached to create the new branding, website and marketing collateral, which included a 60-page brochure in English and Mandarin.

Since its launch, the company has expanded into new sectors, including media and opened their first school in Beijing, using the website and marketing collateral as key recruitment tools. The new Beijing school opened in September 2013 and is predicted to enrol 50 students by September 2014.

Marketing training courses in the building services sector

Another different but huge growth market within which PRG has vast experience is marketing training courses, within the building services sector. We have successfully worked with several training companies in this domain, Logic4training and more recently Asset Skills Training.

PR and marketing for training companies, when handled by experts, will increase enquiries and sales. PRG can say this with certainty: our client Logic4training was already trading very successfully, but over a four month period we increased website visits by 77% and web form enquiries by 63%.

Asset Skills Training delivers high quality, customised training across the UK to facilities management, housing, property, cleaning, parking and energy efficiency sectors. PRG created a new identity, strapline, website, marketing collateral and course materials for Asset Skills Training, due to launch in 2014. The website and materials will be used as key recruitment tools, and to gain brand awareness across the sector.

In addition, PRG transformed one of its sister company websites,Upkeep, to give the site an updated look and feel and increase web traffic and conversion rates.

To successfully promote training and education companies, PRG has employed a mix of marketing tools: website construction; search engine optimisation; pay per click; e-newsletters; print newsletters; print and digital advertising; promotional literature; and PR, including press events to generate media coverage.
