To hone, maintain and grow

For over 10 years now I have primarily applied my marketing expertise within B2B organisations throughout Sussex across IT & Communications, Renewable Energies and Electronics technical industries.

For over 10 years now I have primarily applied my marketing expertise within B2B organisations throughout Sussex across IT & Communications, Renewable Energies and Electronics technical industries.

My passion for all things marketing began during a GNVQ Business Studies lesson at sixth form college in Haywards Heath, where we were tasked with creating an advertising campaign to drive sales of a pet food product of our choice.

As an animal enthusiast, I instinctively created a “Before and After Effect” advert, using our family dog ‘Heinz’ as the campaign subject. Being a short legged droopy-eyed hound from Germany, he was the perfect model! Sadly I don’t have the original images anymore, so that is why (for the purpose of this blog post) I have used a photo of Heinz in his elder years enjoying a snowy day in Sussex.

Now try to imagine the dog food advert with two images of Heinz – the “before” image, Heinz plays a sad droopy-faced hound and on the opposite “after” effect side, his features are graphically enhanced with sunglasses and punk like features, looking very wacky and quite ecstatic. My tutor was impressed!

In addition to being inspired into marketing, I also had the privilege from a young age to experience living and learning other cultures and methods of communication during my time in Germany, London, Miami and West Yorkshire.

So after graduating at The University of Greenwich in 2006 with a degree in International Marketing, I fully embarked on my adventure in marketing with an apprenticeship role at a PR & Marketing agency in West Sussex.

Since then however, I focused on opportunities where I would be the in-house marketing and business development function for companies so that I could contribute to strategic lead generation campaign planning across online and traditional marketing channels. That is of course until I joined PRG on 5th January 2015!

What initially attracted me to PRG were the pragmatic and complementary services and solutions that the company offers and implements, as these perfectly match the best practice marketing communications skills that I have developed (and that I continue to enhance) and fit in with my own marketing motto of “To hone, maintain and grow”.

It also helps that PRG’s team of marketing experts are all very collaborative and super friendly, as well as being excellent at strategic and creative thinking sessions!

These days, my favourite past time is to formulate marketing strategies that focus on thought leadership and achieve global brand recognition, in order to generate new business interest whilst increasing client retention.

Yet, I firmly believe that any marketing mix requires an extremely strategic coordination of business development, client account management, target market research, metrics and results reviews, and best customer service communications practices – all of which PRG delivers on a daily basis.

So, whether you want to know which Social Media channel to use for your next exclusively designed product promotion and how to effectively communicate with the media or your segmented audience, or you would like to understand how you can use Content or Digital Marketing to your advantage – just get in touch with the PRG team and we’ll be happy to guide you through the plethora of communications opportunities open to you.

Finally, thank you to Simon our MD, Kathryn our client Account Director and the whole team for welcoming me to PRG so warmly. I am very excited to see us all continue to successfully deliver exceptionally smarter marketing campaigns.
