Victory for the PRG Team at the St Wilfrid’s Hospice Business Awards 2019

Last Friday (4th) October saw the first ever St Wilfrid’s Hospice Business Awards hosted at the fabulous five-star Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. Local businesses from all over Eastbourne gathered for a night of networking and delectable food and drinks.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice introduced the event to celebrate local businesses in their hometown and to say a huge thank you for their unparalleled support for the charity whose expert teams help people to live well until the end of their lives whilst offering invaluable support to their family and friends.

The night included a luxurious raffle which saw a selection of great prizes from champagne to afternoon tea being dished out to the lucky winners, and a silent auction where guests could bid for exciting experiences from a supercar driving blast or sky dive to an overnight spa break.

PRG was shortlisted for the ‘Best Corporate Team’ award, having raised over £1,600 when MD Simon Groves took part in St Wilfrid’s Hospice Jail or Bail event. In addition to this the whole team flew to victory in the charity’s superhero themed corporate event ‘KAPOW!’. This particular award was set up to honour those who have volunteered, taken part in a hospice event or contributed significantly to the work of the hospice.

We were joined by 15 great local businesses in the category including Woodside Hall Nursing Home and Town Property who came 2nd and 3rd, however much to our delight we were crowned the winners and received a fabulous glass trophy!

Simon Groves, Managing Director said,“The PRG team are delighted to have won the ‘Best Corporate Team’ award at the first ever St Wilfrid’s Hospice Business Awards. We’ve all been working hard raising money for the hospice in memory of our late colleague Martyn “Leeky” Leek and are immensely proud to have been recognised”.

The whole team would like to thank St Wilfrid’s Hospice for a fabulous evening, and also everyone who voted us to victory!
