This month saw the third of our successful CQ Arts Scene events at Printers Bar Brasserie. We invited New Sussex Opera (NSO) to perform a sneak preview of their upcoming opera Mireille, which starts this November.

Local MP, Stephen Lloyd also popped by to show his support.

After a short introduction by NSO committee member, Tim Lock, about NSO and Mireille, Chris Holwell (baritone), Hilary Andrews (mezzo-soprano), Anastasia Witts (soprano) sang excerpts from their opera before finishing with a Mozart trio.

Our quarterly event brings together CQ readers, the artistic and theatrical and business communities, providing to become better acquainted in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. At previous CQ Arts Scene events, we’ve had actors Felicity Dean, Jos Vantyler and producer Tony Milner come and talk about their theatre show Swimming At The Ritz, and Mark Bird about his new venue, All Saints Chapel.

NSO director, Nick Jenkins and watch other videos of the CQ performance on our Facebook page.
