Hospitality sales soar with local marketing campaigns
In 2010 the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) approached PRG in need of help increasing corporate hospitality sales for Eastbourne’s popular tennis tournament, the AEGON International Eastbourne; now known as Nature Valley International. As an Eastbourne based full service marketing agency with more than 38 years’ experience supporting local businesses in and around East Sussex, PRG was the ideal marketing partner for this challenge.
As PRG has been based in Eastbourne for more than 38 years, the team has built up a large local network within the business community, so the natural place to start was tapping up our local connections in and around Eastbourne. With an extensive network of local business and media connections PRG’s team of events experts set about promoting the event and generating interest in the hospitality offering. PRG was able to generate significant interest in the event, acting as a trusted local arm of the LTA for the Eastbourne tournament.
With so many enquiries and hospitality bookers we began building a mailing list which we then targeted using eshot marketing campaigns through Mailchimp, a popular e-Newsletter platform. We also wrote regular blogs to post on our website and promoted the hospitality packages across a variety of social media channels.
Here at PRG we firmly believe that adding a friendly personal touch is crucial to success, so along with the marketing campaigns, our dedicated hospitality co-ordinator looks after all bookings right from initial enquiry through to post event feedback. Available throughout the booking process for regular contact via email and telephone with clients, PRG’s events co-ordinator also looks after guests in the suite throughout the tennis tournament, ensuring all enquiries are answered and needs met. PRG ensures clients receive true VIP treatment by offering those celebrating special occasions at the tournament (such as birthdays or anniversaries) balloons and a cake to make their day as memorable as possible.
This attention to detail and personal touch ensures a positive customer journey from the moment a client shows interest through to the day they attend the suite and even after when collecting valuable feedback. This has led to many loyal clients returning to the suite year on year for multiple dates!
Since PRG took charge of the hospitality package sales in 2010 it is bigger than ever, every year is now a sell out with 2017 and 2018 selling out within months. The local marketing campaigns have now gone international with interest from as far as Australia, we have successfully increased sales by an amazing – and unprecedented – 300% in the past 8 years.
