We recommended that our client Goplasticpallets.com demonstrate its support by producing a creative infographic on the cost benefits of returnable transit packaging (RTP) versus one-trip packaging to help educate logistics professionals about the economic and environmental savings that can be made by using RTP.


We started planning the infographic by first sourcing information from our client about scenarios where RTP has proven more cost-effective than one-trip packaging. Goplasticpallets.com gave us two great examples, one comparing plastic pallets with wooden pallets and the other comparing plastic boxes with cardboard boxes.

Next we set about finding a suitable theme to make the infographic visually engaging. We came up with a boxing ‘Tale of the Tape’ concept, which would allow us to pitch the two products against each other in a creative way, but at the same time clearly illustrate the significant savings that can be achieved by using returnable transit packaging.

The final infographic creative demonstrates that by using plastic pallets and plastic boxes logistics professionals will not only have a more durable long-life product that they can use over and over again, but achieve a return on their investment within less than 12 months.


Although the infographic was designed for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) for European Supply Chain Day (21st April 2016), we also used it as part of a marketing campaign to help Goplasticpallets.com spread the important message about the cost benefits of RTP. The marketing campaign included sharing the infographic across social media, writing about it in a blog, and distributing it in an e-shot to the client’s extensive customer database.
