Challenge

PRG has been heavily involved with the marketing of the expo for the last few years, and when the team at the Let’s Do Business Group approached PRG for help with organising and promoting the brand new event as a collaborative venture, the project was a perfect fit for both teams.

As the only exhibition for the Let’s Do Business Group in 2018, the focus was on giving the event a full makeover with a new targeted approach, attracting businesses from not only Brighton and Hove, but the South East and Gatwick too.

Solution

Combining the business and logistical skills of the Let’s Do Business Group and the marketing and web skills of the PRG team, the new events team were able to ensure record visitor sign ups offering maximum exposure to the number of exhibitors from across the South East showcasing their offerings.

As the event took place at a new venue in Brighton for 2018; The Amex Stadium, both teams agreed the event required a new approach. PRG’s design team created new, fresh branding for the event, while the digital marketing experts arranged a targeted promotional plan including advertising with local supporters such as Platinum Business Magazine and Johnston Press titles. In addition to this, the team at PRG created a social media, content and email marketing strategy, as well as a new interactive 3D website plan of the venue.

As well as the usual seminars which were free for all to attend, a focus for the new event team was to ensure the day offered maximum exposure and ample opportunity for both exhibitors and visitors to make new connections and meet potential clients and suppliers.

To ensure guests got the most out of their day, a pre-event networking breakfast with Juice FM took place at the Stadium, drawing business leaders and visitors to the venue to line their stomachs before a day of networking seminars. Post show, guests were treated to a showing of the first game of the World Cup in the Sussex Skills Solutions Lounge.

Result

The event attracted record visitor pre-registrations as well as consistent footfall on the day. The wide range of seminars also attracted a positive response and strong attendance from those visiting and exhibiting. The vast array of industries promoting their brands at the event ensured the brief to expand the exhibition’s reach was met, and that most event-goers walked away with new leads and connections to follow up with post show.
