Introducing Martyn Leek – PRG Marketing Communications’ newest recruit

Martyn brings 19 years’ experience in journalism with him and as well as extensive skills in public relations and marketing.

He has hosted B2B award ceremonies with the likes of Hugh Dennis and Claudia Winkleman and judged national food competitions like the Farm Shop & Deli Show Awards and National Pie Awards Martyn has also previously consulted on food shows for TV and radio.

Commenting on the new addition to the team, Simon Groves, Managing Director of PRG Marketing Communications, added: “We’re really pleased that Martyn has joined the team here at PRG. His addition will help to strengthen our already very able team of PR and marketing experts – particularly with his news-orientated background and crisis management skills.”

Martyn added: “I’m delighted to have joined an agency as forward-thinking and proactive as PRG and am looking forward to working with Simon, and the team, on their broad range of clients whilst forging greater links with the wider local community in Sussex.”

Martyn started his career at a local newspaper in Staffordshire, before moving to the award-winning Sunday Mercury in Birmingham where he was handed the role of investigations reporter and covered crime and consumer fraud.  In B2B, Martyn has primarily worked in the food and drink and eating out sectors. He started at the highly respected MCA Insight and most recently edited British Baker where he led the digital development of the title.
