Keeping it local

Since leaving University 8 years ago I have been lucky enough to work for a selection of Eastbourne Advertising Agencies and have forged solid links within the local community, links which I am keen to develop and grow in my new position as Account Manager at PRG.

Since leaving University 8 years ago I have been lucky enough to work for a selection of Eastbourne Advertising Agencies and have forged solid links within the local community, links which I am keen to develop and grow in my new position as Account Manager at PRG.

I wasn’t always so marketing focused, my first full-time job was in fact as a cashier at Barclays Bank! During my time as a cashier I became interested in the Banks marketing and especially one of their TV advertising campaigns starring Anthony Hopkins. At the time the ‘Big Campaign’ was highly innovative and as such it really piqued my interest, not least because I am a big Anthony Hopkins fan. After telling my school careers advisors for years that I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I ‘grew up’, I suddenly felt that this might be a path I wanted to follow.

I left Brighton University three years after this ‘lightbulb moment’ with a HND in Business and Marketing and a Degree in Business Administration under my belt and felt ready to hit the ground running.

I was lucky enough to land a Marketing Executive position with local firm GSBA where I cut my marketing teeth on local clients Jones Bootmaker, Brewer’s Decorators Merchants and Hart Reade Solicitors as well as National and International clients including Energy Saving Trust and The Actuarial Profession. I am grateful that I haven’t lost those early contacts and have actually worked with many of them in my subsequent positions.

I come to PRG after 4 years at another local marketing agency, where I had the pleasure of increasing my local contacts working for Eastbourne College, St Andrew’s Prep, David Salmon Furnishers, Claremont Independent School and Eastbourne Borough Council to name but a few. I am a local girl at heart, having lived in the town for as long as I can remember, as such I am always keen to help drive local businesses forward and find an integrated marketing approach to help them succeed.

The PRG team has a strong, well rounded skill set, which I hope I can add to. So, whether you want to crack social media, understand how to get your news story noticed, freshen up your website or organise some new artwork or print – just get in touch with the PRG team and we’ll be happy to guide you through the array of opportunities open to you.

Finally, I owe a big thank you to Simon our MD, Kathryn our client Account Director and the whole team for showing me such a warm welcome. I am thrilled to be on board and excited to see us continue to exceed our clients’ expectations.
