We were approached by Local businessman Carl Bird, a long-term Coffee Republic franchisee. He announced his decision to step away from the franchise and rebrand his coffee shop as the independent brand Tall Guy Coffee Co. The name chosen for the new brand was inspired by Carl’s own height – he stands at an impressive 6 feet 6 inches tall – and accurately reflects his fun-loving personality.
The PRG team was tasked with creating a brand identity to fit the Tall Guy name and ethos. The new brand would need to be rolled out on interior and exterior signage, menus, A-boards, the website, and social media channels and needed to be instantly recognisable and unique.
PRG held an initial planning meeting with the Carl to discuss his aspirations. This was vital as we would be developing a unique brand identity to reflect his personality and values.
PRG produced a rebranding document, proposing a selection of potential logos, brand colours and straplines. The chosen logo aims to convey a level of fun and individuality, this is backed up by a bold and engaging colour palette.
The brand rollout included interior and exterior signage, branded mugs, take-away cups, loyalty cards, and new menu boards.
The client has received an incredibly positive reaction to the new brand, with positive feedback on its bold, bright appearance and uniqueness. Carl is enjoying serving his loyal customers, as well as welcoming brand-new ones.
I'm excited to rebrand my coffee shop as Tall Guy Coffee Co. and to be creating a brand that truly reflects who I am.
