Challenge

PRG Marketing Communications was approached by the Eastbourne Strategic Partnership, the brains behind Healthy Eastbourne, to design and build a website to both promote the venture and to be used as a resource for those taking part.

Solution

After a full assessment of Healthy Eastbourne’s website needs, PRG formulated an intuitive navigation structure that would allow users to quickly and easily access information about exercise, eating well and mental health.

The design itself was created to adhere to Healthy Eastbourne’s existing brand guidelines, while at the same time leaving room for later additions such as advertising or extra elements on the page.

The website needed to be adaptable and so was built using a full WordPress content management system configured expertly by our web development team. This allowed for the easy addition of blogs and news , something we highly recommend  for SEO purposes; fresh, new content written with keywords and the search engines in mind is a must.

A directory of events was very high on the agenda as Healthy Eastbourne needed a way of informing people about tied-in local events. Users needed to be able to submit their own events to create a true community geared towards improving local health. We created a directory whereby users could submit an entry to be moderated by a member of the Healthy Eastbourne team. Once the event is approved it is automatically added to the calendar.

Result

Eastbourne Strategic Partnership was extremely happy with the end result. Since the launch, the website has continued to grow, has proven very popular with the locals and remains to provide them with the support they need to live a healthier lifestyle, such as event information, crisis help and healthy eating tips.
