PRG wins competitive website pitch against multiple agencies!

Challenge

The brief was to create a new, fresh and innovative design for the existing and somewhat dated website for Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce (HACC). The site had to make use of the latest technology, be easy to use, responsive and work on mobile devices. After a competitive pitch against multiple agencies PRG was pleased to have won the task.

Solution

First, we worked closely with the client to see how we could help automate certain processes and streamline some of the more unnecessary administrative tasks the Chamber dealt with on a regular basis, including:

• Collating a list of members attending breakfasts
• Sending membership renewal reminders
• Accepting payment online
• Allowing members the ability to update their own details
• Allowing invoices to be downloaded from the website after networking breakfasts

The HACC wanted to be able to add news and events to the website and ensure full control via the Content Management System. The initial design concept phase was soon underway, after some initial consultations and breaking the conventional mould, we started to develop the new site.

The single page layout contains a plethora of information, including a fully searchable directory of all members with multiple methods of locating them. We added the functionality for all HACC breakfast events to be booked and paid for via the website and even be booked months in advanced.

Finally, being at the heart of local business and networking, the HACC team wanted to include the latest news in the area. So, with this in mind; we included a useful Blog/News facility which meant the site could become a repository of all things local but also would be a great way of adding content for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

Result

Since the website launched in October 2015 the HACC have been extremely happy with the outcome, as the new site continues to drive traffic and enquiries. The Blog/News facility has become a great online news portal for the local business community.
