PRG team goes flippin’ mad for charity race

PRG is flippin’ excited to be entering a team into the St Wilfrid’s Hospice Annual Pancake Race.

The St Wilfrid’s Hospice Annual Charity Pancake Race is a simple relay-style race, although obviously with a twist, as runners run with a saucepan and need to flip a pancake a number of times on route.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is a charity PRG holds dear. The PRG team dedicated significant time and effort in 2019 to raising much needed funds for the cause, as a way of thanking them for the amazing support they gave late colleague and friend Martyn Leek and his family.

As the above infographic illustrates, in 2019 PRG’s Managing Director Simon Groves – alongside a number of community leaders and well-known figures – spent time behind bars (for entirely fictitious crimes!) at Eastbourne’s Redoubt Fortress as part of a fundraising ‘Jail and Bail’ event. The PRG team then put on their capes and masks to compete in – and win – the fun-filled Kapow 5k workforce obstacle race. The year drew to a close with a member of the PRG team running the Beachy Head 10k race in aid of the charity.

PRG is continuing to support St Wilfrid’s Hospice in 2020. The Annual Pancake Race takes place in Eastbourne town centre at 1pm on Tuesday 25th February. If you’d like to come down and support St Wilfrid’s Hospice, and to have a good natured chuckle, as PRG staff run and flip their way through the town centre, we would love to see you.
