Challenge
After founding the company nearly 30 years ago, Janet is stepping down and Christopher Bean is taking over as the senior partner. As part of the changeover, Christopher required a refresh to the company branding and website. However, to ensure the practice remains compliant with the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority), the company name had to remain.
Solution
PRG was delighted to be approached by Christopher and soon set to work on refreshing the branding to provide a new modern look and feel. The only direction from the client was to use an alternative colour to the magenta of the current logo. PRG chose teal as the new statement colour, which is also a complimentary colour to the existing magenta. The refreshed logo also used an updated typeface, which was chosen to compliment the established brand and reinforce the new brand appearance both in print and online.
The fully content managed website allows for easy updates to be made, using PRG’s flexible layouts with a drag and drop interface, meaning pages can be created and edited without any code knowledge, whilst retaining a consistent overall look and feel. Thanks to a new photoshoot the website also features images of well-known Hastings landmarks to add an element of localisation.
Whilst work was underway on the new website, PRG created a temporary holding page with an enticing and thought-provoking message as well as a countdown timer to help drive engagement on social media. We also updated the company’s social media platforms with the new branding.
Result
Christopher Bean is extremely pleased with the new website which launched on 1st March 2022. To help promote awareness of being Senior Partner, PRG worked with Christopher on a local marketing campaign, which included a customised promotional teaser leaflet which was distributed in time for the new launch. PRG also worked with local suppliers to update the Hastings office exterior, this included new signage, frosted window vinyl’s and the front door was given a fresh lick of paint to match the new brand colour.

From the first meeting I was made to feel welcome. The team that I would come to depend on impressed straight away, not only with their ideas and thoughts but their willingness to help and assist me on my journey to rebrand yet also retain and tell of the history and the quality of the established firm of solicitors that I was joining as Senior partner. This impression continued as they took me and my firm on our journey, with the clarity of thought and design always being second to none.
Whilst working as a team, each member plays to their strengths, Matt in design, Ian on the website, Robbie on social media and Ashley on words and PR. They all operate under the experienced watch of MD Simon Groves who was always across all areas of the project. They also make you feel welcome when you visit (always being offered a much needed coffee or tea!) and they kept me informed through out.
To say I’m delighted with what they have done is an understatement, indeed I look forward to continuing to work with them as my business moves forward and with the PRG team on board it’s as though I have my very own marketing division!
