Challenge

The new training company, Asset Skills Training, needed to fully incorporate both UK Academy, and an established independent building maintenance training provider called Upkeep. PRG was called on to help transform the government-funded training provider into a commercial training company – Asset Skills Training – and promote its new face-to-face training courses and sophisticated online learning platform to its core target markets, including facilities management professionals.

Solution

A separate name, brand identity and mission were required to reflect the offering of this new facilities management training company.

We began the journey in Exeter with Asset Skills for a full day brand brainstorming session. The outcome of the session gave us clear direction on the company’s core values and strengths and how they wanted to be perceived by customers.

We subsequently developed a new brand identity and logo, the Asset Skills Training arrow. The logo symbolises the company’s brand personality, and its ethos of a forward thinking, knowledgeable, progressive, trustworthy and experienced organisation. The colours represent each of the workforce industries and a flexible and diverse approach.

Once the new logo was agreed we built and developed a new website in the style of the new brand which included integrating an online payment system and the online learning platform.

We also developed a range of new marketing collateral in the fresh style of the new brand including: datasheets, presentations, business cards, brochures, flyers and e-shot templates.

Result

The rebrand was a great success in Asset Skills Training’s core industry sectors -facilities management, cleaning, housing, property and parking – as well as with our client, Julie Freemantle, Commercial Director at Asset Skills Training who commented: “We worked with PRG on the launch of our new training company. Their professional and creative approach to all our marketing and PR was instrumental in its success and the team at PRG are a pleasure to work with”.
