
Challenge
PRG was tasked with arranging and managing a product launch for the new boiler to help spread the word amongst installers.
Solution
We chose Benares – the UK’s first Michelin star Indian restaurant – as the venue for the product launch to unveil Ideal Commercial’s new boiler range to the press. Benares was the ideal venue for the press launch as it fused together the nation’s love of spicy Indian cuisine with the heat of the boiler.
To make the event memorable, we organised a masterclass for the journalists with renowned chef – Atul Kochhar – and presented them with a goody bag containing chilli chocolate truffles and an Ideal-branded cookery book signed by Atul. Each journalist also received a press pack, which included a press release and a technical specification for the new Evomax boiler and a summary of Ideal’s other product ranges.
Before sitting down to the four-course meal, the head of Ideal Commercial gave a short presentation to introduce the Evomax and answered journalists’ questions.
Result
As a result of the boiler press launch, we secured extensive press coverage in some of the industry’s leading trade magazines, including H&V News, Modern Building Services and Energy in Buildings & Industry.
