The Let’s Do Business Exhibition – why do we do it?

If you follow our blog or our social media feeds, you'll know that PRG is exhibiting on stand 69 at the Let's Do Business Exhibition in Eastbourne, on Thursday 23rd June. If you don't follow us, then that is news to you! But why do we go to all the effort for this particular show and what do we hope to gain from it?

If you follow our blog or our social media feeds, you’ll know that PRG is exhibiting on stand 69 at the Let’s Do Business Exhibition in Eastbourne, on Thursday 23rd June. If you don’t follow us, then that is news to you! But why do we go to all the effort for this particular show and what do we hope to gain from it?

Well, for us, it’s a “no-brainer”, as it takes place in the Winter Garden, a beautiful Grade II listed conference venue outside PRG’s front door. So, to move our stand across the car park is a five minute job for myself and my long-suffering designer Matt.

The proximity of the venue also means that we can rotate the entire PRG team to man our stand throughout the day. Don’t underestimate the team-building opportunities that an exhibition like this presents, especially if members of your company do not often get to work on projects together. A carefully planned rota can provide the team with some quality time to get to know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as bond whilst working the stand.

PRG is very active in the business community locally, as well as on a national level. It is a great opportunity to catch up with our contacts, be they clients past or present, suppliers or people who will recommend us in the future. A company of our size has a lot of services to offer, so we use the show as an opportunity to educate those who are not aware of the full marketing mix on offer. Some would call it a “flag-waving exercise”, but we consider it brand reinforcement!

Finally, for PRG, it is about having a bit of fun and sharing that with the other exhibitors and all of the delegates. Our ice cream stand “PRG, the marketing company that makes you lots of lolly” will be returning, as will our magazine, Cultural Quarterly, but this time we will also be educating visitors on the basics of social media and why they should be embracing it. Our seminar on social media starts in the Gold Room at 11.30.

Make sure you pop by and say hello – if you mention that you have read this blog post then you will get to choose what flavour lolly you want.

See you on Thursday!

Simon
