A CUTTING edge magazine touting Eastbourne’s arty side with stylish photos and in-depth features has just rolled off the printing press.
Cultural Quarterly is a niche-carving lifestyle magazine dedicated to the town’s cultural quarter, packed with insightful content and stunning visual appeal. CQ showcases highlights of upcoming seasons across the quarter’s venues and gives the best insight yet to the emerging landmark cultural centre.
It is the brainchild of Eastbourne businessman, Ray Groves, Managing Director of PRG Ltd, based at The Point inside the cultural quarter. His office overlooks the theatres and cultural centre, and he wanted to get involved with what is undoubtedly one of the most exciting eras the area has seen. Ray put his idea safely in the hands of PRG’s publishing division, Picture Publishing.

The magazine has already got fans. Matthew Rowe, Artistic Director for galleries and museums in Eastbourne, said: “Cultural Quarterly magazine will help promote the nationally acclaimed Towner Art Collection and exhibitions programme housed in Eastbourne’s new international standard galleries to a discerning audience that will appreciate them, and who will want to experience them firsthand. Eastbourne Theatres’ Artistic Director, Chris Jordan, said: “Cultural Quarterly will give Eastbourne’s key entertainment venues the opportunity to inform residents and visitors of the scope of productions available to them, from ballet and opera to pantomime, comedy and new work.
