The Haywards Heath based company, which supplies schools, nurseries and colleges with everything from specially produced school furniture to stationary items contacted PRG to give their website the makeover it deserved.
The brief was to create an e-commerce website which would enable time poor teachers, bursars and educational professionals to order everything they need at any time with speed and ease.
The PRG web team began by formulating a design for the new website for the client’s approval. It was important that the website was not only more user-friendly for existing loyal clients, but that it was also simple to navigate and enticing for new customers, while having content that was search engine friendly.
As a priority, a full state of the art e-commerce system was built to give Paper Plus modern sales tools alongside the ability to manage orders and customer accounts.
Naturally, speed and security were also high on the agenda so that Paper Plus’ loyal customer base could shop safe in the knowledge that their orders are secure. To ensure a fast and pleasant shopping experience, the website was moved to a brand new server that operates with HTTP/2, increasing speeds and security for everyone. The website was also converted from HTTP to HTTPs to conform to Google’s new web standards and to increase safety for users.
It was also important that as well as offering a superior customer experience, the website was responsive for use on mobile, tablet and desktop, and that it could be easily managed and used by the staff at Paper Plus HQ. PRG’s web team ensured the back end of the site was user friendly and easy to edit so that staff could regularly update sections with minimum fuss and without vast web knowledge.
Naturally, it was imperative that the new website was visible to search engines, and in turn, users and potential new clients. The new website now boasts an SEO score of 86/100, which is a sharp increase from 56/100 on the old company webpage. This offers Paper Plus a strong stance with Google rankings, further complemented by PRG’s strategic marketing efforts. You can view the new Paper Plus website here.
In order to effectively maximise the website’s makeover, Paper Plus also enlisted the help of PRG’s marketing experts to promote the website. The PRG marketing experts have also implemented a blog schedule and e-shot campaigns to drive traffic to the new and improved Paper Plus website; and work to promote the business in the South East and beyond is currently ongoing.
