
Challenge
PRG was approached by SummitSkills, the Sector Skills Council for building services engineering – which represents the electro technical, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning, refrigeration and plumbing industries – to increase awareness of their trade campaign ‘Good Day’.
Solution
The trade campaign was aimed at increasing employer engagement and promoting training in the building services engineering sector, to help spread the word we initiated a building services PR drive, targeting relevant trade press.
Over a five-month period, we partnered with three of the key building services trade magazines and placed a series of editorial features within each. The articles focussed on raising general awareness of the ‘Good Day’ campaign, profiling employers and apprentices to demonstrate the benefits of apprentice training and mentoring and encourage more young people into the building services engineering sector.
Along with this, we placed one half-page and one full-page advert in each of the media partner trade magazines to support the editorial features.
Result
In return for our cost-effective building services PR campaign fee, we generated media coverage worth more than £70,000 for SummitSkills and the ‘Good Day’ campaign.
