At PRG we are practicing what we preach by launching a new website which engages with prospective new clients how, when and where suits them best.
In order to keep up-to-date with an audience who want their content first and, increasingly, via their personal mobile devices, we’ve produced a dynamic, responsive website to suit the needs of today’s internet users.
Responsive web design in essence is a design which changes – or responds – to the device it is being viewed on, meaning this blog will look sharp and well presented whether you’re reading it on your smart phone or from your computer screen.
Like many other agencies, through managing our clients’ websites, we’ve noted a marked increase in the level of mobile internet usage over the last few years; which is why for some time now we’ve been urging our clients to go down the responsive route – you can view PRG client David Bailey Furniture Systems’ responsive website here.
To back that assertion up, the Office of National Statistics’ report into internet access (2013) claims access via mobile devices rose by 37% between 2010 and 2013 with the trend in surfing the net on the fly set to continue to increase over the coming years.
Those who fail to adopt responsive web technologies may find themselves left behind by an audience increasingly used to content designed to display equally as beautifully on their mobile devices as on their desktop monitor.
